Could the WT be doing the "fade"?

could they have learned something from lurking on jwd and decided to dismantle little by little?

i mean, no bookstudy, possibly less hours for regular pioneers and now the possibility of doing away with the co...sure sounds like a fade to me... are they hoping the r&f won't notice???.

Photographs of old witness friends and Witness events. Do what with them?

my family just took a stroll down witness lane this month as we searched for photographs that our graduating high school daughter needed for her display at her graduation party.

we have an immense file of photos of a previous life with the jw's.

in a way its a history of a former life.

After Kingdom Hall bomb blast = Twisted Witness logic! Saved by Jah!

in sydney in the late 80's a bomb blew up the kingdom hall killing one man and injuring many.

the hall was badly destroyed.

later stories spread about how jehovah "saved" the congregation.. 1. the brother who died was large and sat in front saving many lives by taking the full impact.

I don't think so, I like to think people think of me as really down to earth, I hear from my co-workers that I'm kind of grumpy and sometimes mean, mostly in the mornings though.

When Disassociating

someone had started a thread about a comment their mother made - "i would rather my children be dead then disfellowshipped" and it reminded me of a comment my father made when i disassociated myself:.

"...don't disassociate yourself - simply don't go to meetings or go out witnessing...it will make it so much easier for you to come back..".

it disturbs me on two levels:.

or how about when you do leave and the parents say your dead to me, and cut off all contact with you just like if you were really dead. By the way, I remember once when I was a kid being told that even the very thought of having sex with a girl is the same as doing the action its a sin, so by the very thought of saying your kids are dead to you are you guilty of murder?

sunday, may 18th was my big day.

i decided to go to beth sarim, home of the princes and ancient worthies.

so i loaded up the truck and rolled out, wondering what do you do when you meet someone so ancient that the roman empire was a mere twinkling in jehovah's eye.
